INSPIRATION: FASHION: THE STYLE IN: KILLING EVE
Killing Eve is stylish in all ways, it’s brilliantly written, the music is cool but the outfits are what makes it stand out. That and the graphics but as a graphic designer I would say that!
Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer, is given some amazing outfits to wear, flamboyant and daring and over the top and stylish, these clothes and their ever changing nature is a reflection of Villanelle’s chameleonic personalities and personas. Sandra Oh’s lead Eve is not given anywhere near as exciting things to wear; she dresses like a real person which is refreshing to see on screen. I think though my favourite outfits are worn by Fiona Shaw’s Carolyn Martens. She dresses with authority and style and always looks well put together. I love that she dresses for London with long coats and jackets and for Russia with a furry hat. I have never seen anyone else wear a shirt or blouse so well.
