FILM 2228: MR. BROOKS (2007)

TRIVIA: Earl Brooks was written with Kevin Costner in mind to play him.

Kevin Costner thought the script was one of the most perfect scripts he'd ever read and that there were only three other scripts he'd read that made him feel that way. After hearing this, the writers took a day off to celebrate.

British screamo band, Asking Alexandria, wrote the song "Hey There Mr. Brooks" as an homage to this movie on their first album Stand Up and Scream.
