INSPIRATION: ART & DESIGN: NINA COSFORD

I’ve been a huge fan of the work of Nina Cosford for a really long time, like the first person I followed on instagram kind of long. And her instagram feed still consistently fills me with joy.

Nina is an illustrator who, to my joy, mainly focuses on the reality of being a woman, of modern life and feminism and a great mix of humour and wonderful art. And I really love it when she shares her sketchbook drawings, so interesting and amazing!

I would highly recommend checking out her art and giving her a follow.

While looking through her work I was struck mainly by two things:

How her art empowers women – I’m definitely going to introduce her pieces to my nieces when they’re a little older

And how she did an illustration of someone I actually know! Her portrait of Laura Coryton the legendary campaigner behind the abolition of the tax on period products is amazing!
